Communication

Major in Communication (B.A. or B.S.)– Choose an emphasis in Strategic Communication, Journalism, or Communication Studies.

Media Studies Minor – Specifically designed to complement majors outside the Department of Communication.

English

General Major in English (B.A.)

Teaching Major in English (B.A.) – Teaching majors will need to be admitted to the Secondary Education Licensure Program in the Department of Teaching and Learning. 

Creative Writing Minor – For students majoring outside the Department of English, this a 3-course series involving an introductory, intermediate, and advanced writing workshops.

Literature Minor

Teaching Minor in English – For students with a teaching major in another department, this program provides students with an endorsement to teach English in secondary schools.

British Studies Minor – This minor provides students with a complex and multifaceted understanding of Britain and the former British Empire by requiring related course work across disciplinary boundaries and fostering independent research using methods that combine two or more disciplines. 

History

General Major in History (B.A.)

Teaching Major in History (B.A.) – Teaching majors will need to be admitted to the Secondary Education Licensure Program in the Department of Teaching and Learning. 

General Minor in History

Teaching Minor in History – For students with a teaching major in another department, this program provides students with an endorsement to teach history in secondary schools.

Major in Chinese (B.A.)

Major in Classics (B.A.) – Choose an emphasis in Ancient Greek or Latin.

Major in Comparative Literary and Cultural Studies (B.A.) – Choose an emphasis in Religion and Culture or Literature and Culture.

Major in French (B.A.)
