L2TReC Awarded Title VI Language Resource Center Grant

The Second Language Teaching and Research Center (L2TReC) has been awarded a prestigious US Department of Education Title VI Language Resource Center grant. Title VI supports sixteen language research centers that provide resources to promote and improve the teaching and learning of foreign languages by developing teaching materials, offering professional development opportunities for teachers and instructors, and conducting and disseminating research on foreign language learning. For the next four years, L2TReC will contribute to the program mission of improving the nation’s capacity for teaching and learning foreign languages by developing, showcasing and disseminating effective ways to articulate K-16 language education with particular attention to diverse pathways such as K-12 immersion and the Seal of Biliteracy. L2TReC is the first Title VI Language Resource Center in the Intermountain Region.
