Michael Kimmel Lecture Streaming
Last week, the College of Humanities presented a lecture by Michael Kimmel on modern gender roles. Michael Kimmel is a Distinguished Professor of Sociology and Gender Studies at Stony Brook University, where he directs the Center for the Study of Men and Masculinities. Professor Kimmel is the author of more than 20 books, including his best-seller, "Guyland: The Perilous World Where Boys Become Me." In this lecture, he talks about how women's lives and changed and the way in which men are responding to that, and how we need to think about these changes.
