Q: During the first semester, how did learning about the College of Humanities and its disciplines help you frame your academic interests?

A: My first semester, I was only vaguely aware of what I wanted to study. After learning about the different humanities disciplines, I realized that I have so many more options than what I was aware of.

Q: How has being part of the Humanities Scholars program impacted your time at the university?

A: Through Humanities Scholars, I have found a supportive class environment that gave me a wonderful introduction to not only humanities, but to research and how to fully use my university resources.

A: Learning not only how to do my own research but how to dissect others’ work has allowed me to become much more confident in my writing abilities, as well as allowing me to ask questions in new ways.

Q: Anything else you would like to share about the Humanities Scholars program?

A: This program has been one of the highlights of my first year, and I would absolutely recommend it to any incoming students.
