Beth Clement
Beth Clement, Associate Professor, History - for her many years of teaching general education courses that were deemed exceptionally demanding and rewarding by her students, by using a variety of sources and methods for students to learn history and American Institutions.
Matt Haber
Matt Haber, Chair and Associate Professor, Philosophy - for the rich use of innovative technology used in his classes, and his professionalizing of students taking his classes.
Alf Seegert
Alf Seegert, Assistant Professor (Lecturer), English - for the provocative and innovative content and structure of his general education classes, focusing on topics and issues that excite students across campus. Extra info from Alf: Based on my application and award letter, it looks like the award was primarily given in response to these three courses: I created and got HF designations for: Digital Culture (ENGL 2085) and Video Games and Storytelling (ENGL 2090). I also currently teach one more Gen Ed course, Introduction to Critical Theory Online (I designed the first online version of it).
