Kent Ono Selected as 2nd Vice President of NCA

Kent Ono has been selected as the 2nd Vice President of the National Communication Association. Dr. Ono will assume office on January 1, 2018, plan the 2019 NCA annual convention, and serve as NCA president in 2020. The two finalists were voted on in January 2017 by all members of NCA, which includes approximately 7,000 members nationwide.

“I am thrilled and delighted to have been chosen as the Second Vice President of the National Communication Association," said Kent Ono, chair of the Department of Communication. "NCA has given so much to me; I feel this is the right time to give back to the Association. I appreciate all of the support I am already receiving from NCA members. I will work tirelessly to build bridges within our organization, as well as between NCA and other organizations. I am honored to serve the Association in this way.”
