Ballot Initiative Panel Discussions: Unpacking the Initiatives

Panel presented by the ABU Education Fund, John R. Park Debate Society, and Scholars Strategy Network

Salt Lake City, UT - The ABU Education Fund, the University of Utah’s John R. Park Debate Society, and the Scholars Strategy Network will host a series of three panels unpacking each of the three initiatives that made it to the ballot this November. Each panel will address a single initiative and will consist of expert panelists in their fields.

The ABU Education Fund and the John R. Park Debate Society have teamed up for the past four years to offer debates in races for the Utah Legislature, State School Board, and last year’s 3rd Congressional District special election. This is the first year the Scholars Strategy Network, the ABU Education Fund, and the Debate Society have worked together to bring expert panelists together on one stage in Utah.

While the ABU Education Fund is the logistics organizer for the panels, all matters relating to format, substance, and moderation of the panels are controlled exclusively by the John R. Park Debate Society. The Scholars Strategy Network has recruited the panelists from universities in Utah and across the country.
