HUMANITIES Internship SPOTLIGHT | Nathan Le
Nathan Le
Major(s): Communication Studies
Department: Communication
Internship: Intermountain Health
Nathan Le is a Communication major at the University of Utah. This fall semester (2024), he received a for-credit, paid internship with Intermountain Health. Having previously worked with them, Nathan was excited to continue expanding his skills and learning in the field. He is passionate about helping others find success. His studies have given him a healthy background to work with and to grow in. Currently, he’s working with a team that sets up laptops for nurses, and using his communication skills to help guide users through technological services and troubleshooting. This experience has helped him gain computer science and technology support skills, and of course, it has added a wonderful internship to his resume!
Helping set up technology for nurses and learning new skills has been a meaningful and impactful experience, and he would readily apply again. To keep his internship/school/life balance in check, Nathan says, “Finding time to do things you love helps [reset] mentally.” To students looking into other internship opportunities, he suggests to “just keep looking, keep submitting applications to jobs because the worst they can say is ‘no.’”
Wonderful! Thanks for sharing your experience!
