MARK YOUR CALENDAR FOR U GIVING DAY: FEBRUARY 23-24, 2021
Dear Friends of Humanities at the U,
College is, at its finest moment, a voyage of intellectual discovery. Regrettably, for too many students today that journey is fraught with family and financial worries due to the evolving COVID-19 pandemic. Since March, numerous University of Utah students have applied weekly for emergency scholarship support.
A critical fund, the Humanities Emergency Scholarship, helps students stay in school, care for their families, and pursue their academic and career goals. As an alumna of the College of Humanities, and as someone who sees in my daily work the impact the pandemic has had on millions of people around the world, I invite you to join me in changing the lives of Utah students in need by contributing to the Humanities Emergency Scholarship Fund.
It's our turn to help University of Utah students who, through their hard work, dedication and creativity, will make a difference for future generations. This emergency scholarship support helps deserving students continue their studies in the Humanities, whose disciplines ultimately enrich everyone. This is an investment in our shared future.
On this Giving Day, February 23-24, your pledges are matched to $20,000, and can help students in need pursue their dreams despite the increased financial pressures. Give online at giving.utah.edu/humanities.
With gratitude,
Amy Van Prooyen
